FACTA Names Paul B. Thompson to Board of Advisors

 

FACTA Becomes First Animal Welfare Training and Audit Services Company

To Name an Ethicist to its Board of Advisors

 

 

(LUBBOCK, Texas ) --- John J. McGlone, PhD., chief executive officer and chief scientific officer of Farm Animal Care Training and Auditing, LLC (FACTA), today announced that renowned ethicist Paul B. Thompson, Ph.D., has been named to the company board of advisors.  FACTA is the first and only animal welfare training and audit services company to name an ethicist to its board.

Thompson, recently named the W.K. Kellogg Endowed Chair in Food, Agriculture and Community Ethics at Michigan State University , will monitor the ethics of FACTA¬ animal welfare audit methodologies as well as the company‚ business relationships with its producer and processor clients.  Thompson is the author of numerous books and articles on food and agricultural biotechnology, agricultural ethics, environmental ethics and U.S. food policy.  He joins Stanley Curtis, Ph.D., Temple Grandin, Ph.D., Donald G. Levis, Ph.D., Morgan Morrow, BVsc, Ph.D., and Roy Schultz, D.V.M. on the FACTA board of advisors.
