Chase Heath

Animal Welfare Auditor

Chase Heath was born and raised on a family farm in Missouri.  He grew up aiding his family with their farm enterprise involving a large row crop and beef cattle operation.  Chase attended the University of Missouri where he received his B.S. in Animal Science and Minor in Agriculture Economics in 2013.

In the fall of 2013 he joined Pipestone System and worked his way to becoming gestation lead of their 5,600 head multiplication sow farm.  He was placed into four different production facilities ranging from 2,500 head – 8,000 head while working with Pipestone System.  At those facilities Chase was able to further his understanding of on-farm production practices, help train individuals in proper animal handling and animal husbandry techniques.

Chase joined Farm Animal Care Training and Auditing (FACTA; www.factallc.com; a division of Frost, PLLC; www.frostpllc.com) in the fall of 2016.  He uses his background in animal agriculture and experience in animal production to help him further understand the industry and the importance of proper animal welfare. He will utilize his hands on training and experiences with cattle and swine to help him be an effective animal welfare auditor.  Chase is working to develop more skills auditing all species of production livestock.

Chase is PQA (Pork Quality Assurance Plus) and BQA (Beef Quality Assurance) certified.

Chase lives close to his family farm in Mid-Missouri where he enjoys helping his family.  If he’s not on the farm he enjoys his spare time spent outdoors whether it is fishing, hunting or skiing.
